Norwegian Aura Will Debut New Restaurants and NCL’s Most Expansive Thermal Suite

Norwegian Cruise Line has revealed more of what’s coming to Norwegian Aura, with the latest announcement focused on new dining and a much larger spa experience.
The ship is set to debut in May 2027 and will be the largest in the NCL fleet.
The biggest additions are:
- Tamara, NCL’s first specialty restaurant dedicated to Indian cuisine.
- The Panorama Room, a new complimentary dining experience.
- A two-deck Mandara Spa with NCL’s most expansive Thermal Suite to date.

Tamara will be located on Deck 8 and follows the popularity of the Indian dishes already served at Indulge Food Hall on Prima Class ships.
The menu will include Short-Rib Dosa, Lamb Biryani and Green Papaya Salad. An open-view kitchen with tandoor ovens will be part of the restaurant.
The Panorama Room is another completely new addition. Located on Deck 6, the complimentary restaurant will use large LED displays, lighting and audio to change the scenery around the dining room throughout the day and evening.
Several familiar NCL restaurants will also return with refreshed designs or more seating. Surfside Café is getting a more noticeable change and will expand across both sides of the ship.
Overall, Norwegian Aura will have 22 food and beverage options covering more than 10 cuisines.
The spa is where some of the more unique new features are coming.

The Thermal Suite will offer 15 wellness experiences, including 11 new to NCL. One of those is the Sensory Rain Pool, which NCL says will be the first of its kind at sea.
The pool surrounds guests with a 360-degree simulation that shifts from calm water to tropical rainfall and eventually a thunderstorm, complete with lightning effects and rolling thunder.
Other new experiences include a Snow Cave, Blue Glow Suite, Foot Spa, Waterfall Experience, Reflection Pool and guided hot and cold plunges.
Norwegian Aura is scheduled to sail its first cruise on May 21, 2027, with a seven-day Mediterranean itinerary from Trieste, Italy, to Barcelona, Spain. A 13-day transatlantic cruise to Miami will follow.
From Miami, Norwegian Aura will sail Eastern Caribbean cruises in summer 2027, including stops at Great Stirrup Cay, where Norwegian Cruise Line has been making several updates to its private island.
The ship will move to Western Caribbean itineraries for winter 2027-2028.
