NCL’s Great Stirrup Cay Waterpark Opens This September — Here’s What It Will Cost

Norwegian Cruise Line has set an opening date for Great Tides Waterpark, the new paid waterpark coming to Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas.
The waterpark will open on Sept. 4, 2026, during Norwegian Luna’s seven-day Caribbean sailing from Miami. Day passes go on sale May 28, 2026, for guests booked on cruises visiting Great Stirrup Cay on or after the opening date.
Guests can purchase passes through their myNCL account once their cruise reservation is completed. NCL’s shore excursion listing currently shows Great Tides Waterpark Tickets starting at $99.99 per person for adults and children, though pricing can vary by sailing and availability.
Since NCL says pricing is subject to change and based on availability, booked guests should check their myNCL account for the exact price on their sailing.
Private cabanas will also be available. NCL’s listing shows Great Tides Waterpark Cabanas starting at $999, with full-day waterpark admission included for up to six guests.

Great Tides Waterpark will span nearly six acres and feature 19 waterslides, three new food trucks, a 9,000-square-foot kids’ zone, cliff jumps, swim-up bars, and an over 800-foot river attraction.
One of the biggest features will be Tidal Tower, a 170-foot tower with several slide options. NCL says it will feature Breakwater Blasters, water coasters with downhill drops and uphill blasts in an inner tube. The tower will have body slides, mat racers, and tube slides, too.
The waterpark will feature Cliffside Cove with cliff jumps, The Great Slide, billed as the Caribbean’s only four-person body slide, and Wandering River, NCL’s more active take on a lazy river.
This is part of a larger update to Great Stirrup Cay. NCL has added Great Life Lagoon, a beach-entry pool with swim-up bars, the adults-only Vibe Shore Club, Splash Harbor for families, and a tram system to help guests get around the island.
For cruisers visiting Great Stirrup Cay in late 2026 and beyond, the new waterpark adds another option to the private island day. The beach and pool areas will still be part of the island experience, but guests who want the slides, river, and waterpark attractions will need to buy a separate pass.
Norwegian Luna will be the first ship to visit on opening day. NCL sails to Great Stirrup Cay year-round from several homeports, including Miami, Port Canaveral, Tampa, Jacksonville, New York, and Philadelphia.
