Disney Cruise Line has updated a few guest policies, and some of them may affect what you pack for your next cruise.

The main changes involve carry-on alcohol, stateroom door decorations, and selfie sticks or tripods. Most of these updates apply to the Disney Cruise Line fleet, with a couple of additional changes currently tied only to Disney Adventure.

The fleetwide changes begin rolling out on June 3, 2026, starting with Disney Fantasy. Disney Adventure and Disney Magic follow on June 4; Disney Wish on June 5; Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny on June 6; and Disney Dream and Disney Wonder on June 8.

Here’s the quick breakdown:

Policy

What Guests Need to Know

Carry-on alcohol

Guests 21 and older may now bring only one unopened bottle of wine or sparkling wine, no larger than 750 ml, or six beers, no larger than 12 ounces each, at the beginning of the cruise. For round-trip cruises from Singapore, the minimum age is 18.

Wine allowance

The wine or sparkling wine allowance drops from two bottles per eligible guest to one. The beer limit stays the same.

Corkage fee

The dining room corkage fee drops from $29 to $20 per bottle.

Alcohol bought in port

Alcohol purchased in ports of call will now be collected and held until the end of the cruise. Guests can still buy it, but they cannot bring it back to the stateroom to drink during the sailing.

Stateroom door decorations

Door decorating is still allowed, but decorations must stay on the stateroom door only. Hallway walls and ceilings are now off-limits.

Door decoration rules

Tape, glue, gel adhesives, over-the-door hanging organizers, sound elements, and video elements are not allowed. Guests who damage doors may be charged a $100 repair fee.

Selfie sticks and tripods

Selfie sticks, handheld extension poles, and tripods may be used onboard in most areas if folded down and no longer than 18 inches. Larger items must be stored in the stateroom and may only be used on land in ports of call.

Fish extenders do not appear to be affected by the stateroom door decoration update. The main change is that door decorations need to stay on the stateroom door itself and not spread onto hallway walls or ceilings.

Two additional changes are being reported for Disney Adventure out of Singapore. These do not appear to apply to the full Disney Cruise Line fleet.

Disney Adventure Update

What Guests Need to Know

Room service

Room service deliveries now have a $5 charge, except for breakfast.

If you have a Disney cruise coming up, check Disney Cruise Line’s current policies before you pack. Older reviews and Disney cruise tips may still mention bringing two bottles of wine per adult or decorating beyond the stateroom door, but those rules have changed.
