Celebrity Cruises Raises Daily Gratuities by $1.50 Per Guest

Celebrity Cruises has raised its daily gratuities by $1.50 per guest, per day, across every stateroom category.

The new rates took effect on July 29, 2026. Here is what guests will now pay:

• Inside, Oceanview, and Veranda staterooms: $19.50 per guest, per day, up from $18
• Concierge Class and AquaClass staterooms: $20.50 per guest, per day, up from $19
• The Retreat: $24.50 per guest, per day, up from $23

For a seven-night cruise, the increase adds $10.50 per guest. A couple will pay an additional $21, while a family of four will pay $42 more.

The new gratuities rates apply to Celebrity Cruises reservations booked on or after July 29, 2026.

Guests who booked before July 29 can still prepay their gratuities at the previous rate. Payment must be completed at least 48 hours before the cruise. Guests who already prepaid their gratuities will not be charged the difference.

Those with an older reservation who do not prepay before sailing will have the new gratuity rate added to their onboard account each day.

Celebrity says gratuities are pooled and applied toward compensation for onboard crew members, including stateroom attendants and dining, bar, culinary, and hotel services teams.

Guests can prepay gratuities through My Celebrity Cruises before sailing. Otherwise, the daily charge will be added to their SeaPass account during the cruise. Guests can also request an adjustment at Guest Relations before the morning of disembarkation.
