Your Complete Look at Celebrity Cruise Drink Packages
What are the Celebrity Cruise Drink Packages? In this 2025–2026 guide, we’ll cover Celebrity Cruises’ beverage packages and what they include.

Your base cruise fare already gives you basics: water, regular coffee, tea, and juices at breakfast. If you want more variety, Celebrity offers three beverage packages: Zero Proof (non-alcoholic), Classic, and Premium. There’s also an All Included option, which now bundles the Classic Drink Package with Basic Wi-Fi into your fare.
We’ve tried the Zero Proof package and paid for alcohol separately since one of us doesn’t drink, and we’ve also had the Premium Package included with our Retreat stay on Celebrity Beyond. Both worked out in different ways, depending on the cruise. The value really comes down to your own drinking habits, but knowing what’s covered makes the decision easier before you sail.
Celebrity Beverage Packages Available
Celebrity Cruises offers three beverage packages that you can purchase in advance (up to 72 hours before sailing) or once onboard. These go beyond the basics included in your fare, and if you booked with All Included, the Classic Package may already be part of your cruise.
- Premium Drink Package: Builds on the Classic by including higher-priced cocktails, wine, and spirits, plus premium bottled water and specialty coffees. A larger discount applies to bottles of wine.
- Classic Drink Package: Includes everything in the Zero Proof Package, plus cocktails, beer, spirits, and wine by the glass up to a set dollar limit. Guests also get a discount on bottles of wine.
- Zero Proof Package: Covers non-alcoholic drinks like sodas, bottled water, specialty coffees and teas, fresh juices, mocktails, smoothies, and energy drinks.
- The All Included option now covers the Classic Drink Package and Basic Wi-Fi only. Gratuities are not included.
- Guests booking The Retreat receive the Premium Drink Package and Premium Wi-Fi, but gratuities are charged separately.
- A service charge is automatically added when purchasing beverage packages.
- All guests of legal drinking age in a stateroom must purchase the same alcoholic package. Substitutions for a Zero Proof package can sometimes be requested for medical or personal reasons.
- Drink packages that include alcohol are available only for guests 21 and older (18 on select international sailings).
- Packages cannot be shared and do not cover beverages from the mini-bar, room service, or gift shops.
- There is no daily drink limit, but you may only order one drink at a time.
- Packages can be modified or canceled up to 48 hours before sailing; after that, they are non-refundable.
Celebrity Drink Packages Explained
Premium Drink Package
- Retail Cost: Celebrity uses dynamic pricing, so the Premium Drink Package typically ranges from $109 to $120 per person, per day, plus a 20% service charge. Prices can shift by ship and sailing, but sales often appear in the Cruise Planner or app, especially around big holiday weekends.
- Included: Premium spirits, cocktails, liqueurs, beer, and wine by the glass up to $17 per drink on most U.S. sailings. That includes most signature cocktails at popular venues like the Martini Bar. Everything in the Classic Package is also included: sodas, bottled still and sparkling water, specialty coffees and teas, fresh juices, smoothies, mocktails, and energy drinks. Guests receive a 20% discount on bottles of wine.
- Excluded: Starbucks purchases, mini-bar items, room service beverages, gift shop drinks, and ultra-premium liquors or wines above the package limit.
- Things to Know: If one adult in a stateroom buys the Premium Drink Package, all other adults of legal drinking age in that stateroom have to buy it too. Packages are non-transferable and can’t be shared.

We have upgraded to a Premium Drink Package at a great price, and it has also been included with our Retreat stay. Having this package made it convenient since we didn’t have to think about extra costs onboard. On another cruise, we skipped it and booked Zero Proof, and I paid a la carte since I was the only one drinking alcohol. All approaches worked depending on the trip, and it really comes down to how much you plan to drink.
How much does the Premium Drink Package cost?
Expect to pay about $109–$120 per person, per day, plus the service charge. The exact amount depends on the sailing. Celebrity runs sales in the Cruise Planner and app, where the package can drop significantly below retail, sometimes into the $60–$70 per day range before gratuities.
Can minors receive this package?
No. Only guests of legal drinking age (21 in the U.S., 18 on some international itineraries) can purchase it. If one adult in a stateroom purchases the package, all other adults of legal drinking age must buy it as well.
Is bottled water included?
Yes. Still and sparkling bottled water are included, with premium brands covered under the package.
What happens if you order a drink over the limit?
The Premium Package covers drinks up to $17 per drink on most U.S. sailings. If your drink costs more, the package credits $17 toward it, and you pay the difference — plus the 20% service charge on that extra amount.
Example: A $21 cocktail would be covered up to $17, leaving you to pay $4 plus the 20% service charge on that $4.
How many drinks can you order at once?
You can order one drink per transaction, per guest. There’s no daily limit, but sharing isn’t allowed.
Classic Drink Package
- Retail Cost: The Classic Drink Package is usually priced around $89 per person, per day, plus a 20% service charge. Like the Premium option, it follows dynamic pricing, and discounts are often available in the Cruise Planner or app when purchased in advance.
- What’s Included: Cocktails, spirits, liqueurs, beer, and wine by the glass up to $10–$12 per drink (depending on itinerary). Everything in the Zero Proof Package is included as well: sodas, bottled still and sparkling water, specialty coffees and teas, fresh juices, smoothies, mocktails, and energy drinks. Guests also receive a 15% discount on bottles of wine.
- What’s Not Included: Starbucks purchases, mini-bar selections, room service beverages, gift shop drinks, and liquor or wine above the per-drink limit.
- Things to Know: If one adult in a stateroom buys the Classic Drink Package, all other adults of legal drinking age in that stateroom must purchase it too. Packages are non-transferable and cannot be shared.

Many cruisers find the Classic Package more than enough for their needs. The martinis included with this package are slightly smaller pours than those covered under Premium, but you can always order another. If you prefer pricier cocktails, paying the small difference out of pocket often ends up cheaper than upgrading to the Premium Package.
Is this included with All Included?
Yes. The Classic Drink Package is part of Celebrity’s All Included pricing, along with Basic Wi-Fi. If you’d like more options, you can upgrade from Classic to Premium by paying the difference.
Can you upgrade to Premium?
Yes. If your cruise includes the Classic Package through All Included, you can pay the daily upgrade cost to move up to Premium. The amount varies by sailing and is easiest to book in the Cruise Planner or once onboard. Watch out for the sales.
What happens if you order a drink over the limit?
The Classic Drink Package covers drinks up to $10–$12 per drink, depending on the itinerary. If your drink is more expensive, the package applies that limit, and you pay the difference plus the 20% service charge on that difference.
Are bottled water and specialty coffees included?
Yes. Non-premium bottled still water is included, along with specialty coffees and teas. Sparkling and premium bottled waters are only covered under the Premium Drink Package, though you can always purchase them a la carte.
Do all adults in the cabin need to buy it?
Yes. All adults of legal drinking age in the same stateroom must purchase the same alcoholic package, unless a Zero Proof substitution is approved for medical or personal reasons.
Zero Proof Package
- Retail Cost: The Zero Proof (non-alcoholic) Package is usually around $30–$35 per person, per day, plus a 20% service charge. Like the alcoholic packages, it follows dynamic pricing, and discounts are sometimes available in the Cruise Planner or app.
- What’s Included: Unlimited fountain sodas, bottled still and sparkling water, specialty coffees and teas, fresh juices, smoothies, mocktails, and energy drinks.
- What’s Not Included: Starbucks purchases, mini-bar items, room service beverages, or bottled drinks from gift shops.
- Things to Know: This package is available for purchase by any guest, regardless of age. It’s also sometimes approved as a substitution for guests who cannot or choose not to drink alcohol when the rest of the stateroom has a drink package. In cases where adults have the Classic or Premium Package, minors in the same cabin are often automatically given the Zero Proof Package. Packages are non-transferable and cannot be shared.

The Zero Proof has been the most valuable package for us recently, especially if we can get it at a discounted price. We drink as much sparkling water as we want and visit Café al Bacio multiple times throughout the day. If and when I want an alcoholic drink, I pay out of pocket. A few more sailings and we’ll be Elite Plus with happy hour drinks included.
How much does it cost?
Expect retail pricing to be around $30–$35 per day, plus the service charge; however, you may find it lower during Cruise Planner sales.
Can minors receive this package?
Yes. The Zero Proof Package is available to guests of all ages and is a popular choice for those who prefer not to drink alcohol but still want to enjoy the non-alcoholic options on board. When adults in the stateroom purchase the Classic or Premium Package, minors are often automatically assigned the Zero Proof Package.
Can this be substituted if someone doesn’t drink alcohol?
Yes. The Zero Proof Package is often allowed as a substitution if an adult in the stateroom cannot drink alcohol, while others have a drink package. We’ve done this ourselves when we added All Included to a cruise — it was a bit of a hassle to set up, but it was possible. It really came down to getting the right person on the phone. It really came down to getting the right person on the phone.
What kinds of specialty coffees or juices are included?
Drinks like cappuccinos, lattes, and espressos at onboard cafés are included, along with fresh juices and smoothies from select venues.
Do all guests in a cabin need to purchase it?
No. The Zero Proof Package does not have the same rules as alcoholic packages. Guests can choose to buy it individually, and it’s not required that everyone in the stateroom have it.
🥤 Pepsi is the official soda on Celebrity Cruises
All drink packages that include soda cover Pepsi products, including Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Sierra Mist, Mountain Dew, and more.

Estimate Your Celebrity Drink Costs
Not sure if a package is worth it for your sailing? The best way to decide is to add up what you’d typically drink in a day and compare it against the daily package cost (don’t forget the 20% service charge). Think about how many cocktails, beers, glasses of wine, or specialty coffees you’d realistically order, and then factor in bottled water and sodas. If that total comes close to or exceeds the package price, it may be worth it. If not, paying a la carte might make more sense.

Other Drink Options on Celebrity
💧 Bottled Water Packs: You can pre-purchase packs of bottled water (usually 12 or 24 bottles) through the Cruise Planner and have them delivered to your stateroom. This is handy if you don’t have the Premium Drink Package and want extra water on hand for excursions or in-cabin use.
☕ Specialty Coffee Purchases: If you don’t want a full beverage package, specialty coffees like lattes, cappuccinos, and iced coffees can be purchased individually at onboard cafés, including Café al Bacio.
🍷 Wine by the Bottle: Bottles of wine can be purchased separately. Guests with Classic or Premium Packages receive discounts (15% for Classic, 20% for Premium).
Things to Know About Celebrity Drink Packages

Celebrity drink packages often go on sale
Celebrity often discounts them in the Cruise Planner before your sailing, sometimes by 20–40% off the onboard price. If the price drops after purchasing a package, you can usually cancel and repurchase at the lower rate.
You can cancel and rebook if the price drops
Then explain that if the Cruise Planner price for a package or upgrade decreases, you can cancel your existing purchase and rebook at the lower rate.
Local sales tax applies while in port
When the ship is docked in certain ports, local sales tax may be charged on drinks, even if you have a drink package. Taxes disappear once the ship sails into international waters.
Packages are valid at Celebrity’s private destinations
Drink packages are honored at private destinations, including Celebrity visits, such as Labadee and Perfect Day at CocoCay, on itineraries that call there.
No daily limit, but one drink per order
You can order as many drinks as you want throughout the day, but only one per transaction. Sharing isn’t allowed.
If one adult buys the Deluxe, all adults in the cabin must too
No exceptions. As of 2025, every adult of legal drinking age in the same stateroom is required to purchase the Deluxe Beverage Package if one person does.
If one adult buys a package, all adults in the cabin must too

Tips for Saving on Drinks on Celebrity

🍹 Buy in advance if you see a good sale
Prices are dynamic and can change daily in the Cruise Planner.
🔄 Keep checking back
If the price drops after you’ve purchased, you can usually cancel and repurchase at the lower rate.
💸 Watch for flash sales
Big discounts often appear around holidays like Black Friday or Labor Day.
🧮 Do the math
Compare your daily drinking habits against the package cost — sometimes à la carte is cheaper.
🏝️ Remember local taxes
Drinks purchased in port may have local sales tax added, even with a package.
⭐️ Leverage loyalty perks
Captain’s Club members at Elite level and above enjoy complimentary drinks daily from 5–7 PM at most bars and lounges (excluding World Class Bar, Craft Social, restaurants, and the Magic Carpet). This perk can reduce or even eliminate the need for a package.
🎰 Check for free drinks in the casino
Complimentary drinks are sometimes offered while you’re gambling, usually during set hours listed in the daily program. The menu is limited, but it’s an easy way to enjoy a few drinks without a package.
🍷 Bring your own wine (within limits)
On embarkation day, guests of legal drinking age are permitted to bring one 750 ml bottle of wine or champagne. Keep it sealed, bring it in your carry-on, and know that a corkage fee may apply if you take it into dining areas.
🎒 Bring your own water or soda (on embarkation day only)
Celebrity allows non-alcoholic drinks to be hand-carried onboard on embarkation day. Most guests bring a small pack (6–12 cans or bottles), and security generally allows it as long as you can carry it yourself. Don’t check it with luggage or try to bring multiple cases, as staff may enforce limits.
💧 Use a reusable water bottle
If you’re not buying a package, bring one to refill at the buffet or water stations.
☕ Grab to-go coffee cups
Celebrity provides to-go coffee cups with lids in the mornings at the buffet, which is handy if you want to take a coffee back to your cabin or around the ship without springing for a specialty latte.
