Royal Caribbean Group Sets Launch Date for Points Choice Loyalty Program

Royal Caribbean Group has set a launch date for Points Choice, its new loyalty option that allows guests to choose where their cruise points are credited across the company’s cruise brands.
The program will apply to sailings departing on or after January 30, 2026, marking the first time guests sailing with Royal Caribbean Group can decide which loyalty program receives the points they earn, even if they sail on a different brand.
Points Choice applies to sailings on Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises, and Silversea. Guests may credit their points to Crown & Anchor Society, Captain’s Club, or Venetian Society, regardless of which ship they sailed.
Previously, loyalty points were automatically credited to the cruise line sailed. With Points Choice, guests earn points as usual and then choose which loyalty program to apply them to after the cruise ends.
Royal Caribbean Group first previewed the concept in October. This update confirms the launch date and outlines how the program will work.
How Points Choice works:
- Points are earned based on stateroom category and cruise length
- Guests have 14 days after an eligible sailing to choose where points are credited
- Selections are made through the cruise line’s website or app
- Points may be credited to Crown & Anchor Society, Captain’s Club, or Venetian Society
- If no selection is made, points stay with the cruise line sailed
- Points can be credited to only one loyalty program per sailing
- Guests must already be enrolled in the loyalty program they select
Exchange rates will vary by brand and stateroom category and will be published annually. There is no change to how points are earned onboard or to existing loyalty benefits.
Jason Liberty, President and CEO of Royal Caribbean Group, said Points Choice reflects how guests move between brands while maintaining a connected loyalty experience.
Points Choice builds on Royal Caribbean Group’s existing status match program, which remains unchanged and continues to provide equivalent loyalty tiers across Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises, and Silversea. The new program applies only to points earned on sailings departing on or after January 30, 2026.
