Royal Caribbean has revealed new details about its next Icon Class ship, Legend of the Seas, which will debut in July 2026.

The ship will spend the summer sailing seven-night Mediterranean itineraries from Barcelona and Rome (Civitavecchia) before moving to Fort Lauderdale in November 2026 for Caribbean cruises, all of which include a visit to Perfect Day at CocoCay.

According to Royal Caribbean, Legend of the Seas will offer the most dining options at sea—28 in total—plus new shows, nightlife, and family experiences. It will also be the cruise line’s fourth LNG-powered ship, equipped with waste heat recovery systems and shore power connection technology.

Dining and Entertainment

Guests can look forward to the Royal Railway – Legend Station, an immersive five-course experience inspired by the ancient Silk Routes, and the Hollywoodland Supper Club, where jazz, cocktails, and multi-course dining meet the glamour of early Hollywood.

The Broadway musical Roald Dahl’s “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” will debut at sea in the Royal Theater. Guests can also look forward to high divers and aerialists in the AquaDome’s AquaTheater, as well as new ice shows in Absolute Zero, the largest ice arena at sea.

Family Experiences

The ship will include six waterslides at the Category 6 Waterpark, the Crown’s Edge skywalk and zip line, Lost Dunes mini golf, and the Adrenaline Peak rock-climbing wall. There will be seven pools, including adults-only spaces at The Hideaway and Swim & Tonic, plus a redesigned Playscape and new carousel for kids in Surfside.

Royal Caribbean says the ship’s eight neighborhoods are designed for family time, featuring the Royal Promenade’s floor-to-ceiling ocean views, the open-air Central Park with more than 30,000 plants, and a three-story Ultimate Family Townhouse.

Legend of the Seas will spend its inaugural season in Europe before repositioning to Florida for six- and eight-night Caribbean itineraries visiting Aruba, Curaçao, and the Western Caribbean.

Bookings are now open.
