Norwegian Cruise Line will continue to honor onboard drink packages at Great Stirrup Cay through March 31, 2026, temporarily extending a policy set to take effect this month. The cruise line had previously announced that starting March 1, shipboard beverage packages would no longer be valid at the island, including the More at Sea drink package at Great Stirrup Cay.

The original plan was to remove onboard beverage package access at the private island and replace it with a new island-specific drink package expected to roll out this year. Instead, Norwegian has extended the current package benefits through the end of March.

This means guests sailing to Great Stirrup Cay during March can continue using their More at Sea, Free at Sea, and Free at Sea Plus beverage packages both onboard and ashore.

The update is especially relevant for guests who upgraded to Free at Sea Plus, specifically to keep drink access at Great Stirrup Cay. That package includes upgraded spirits, Starbucks, WiFi, specialty dining perks, and prepaid gratuities. Some cruisers had shared that the island drink benefit played a role in their decision to upgrade. At this time, there has been no indication of refunds tied to this latest shift.

As of now, the expectation is that beginning April 1, 2026, standard onboard beverage packages will no longer be valid at Great Stirrup Cay unless Norwegian announces another change. The cruise line previously stated that a new drink package designed specifically for the island is in development, but details and pricing have not yet been released.

This comes as Great Stirrup Cay continues its multi-phase transformation, including the new pier that opened late last year, expanded lagoon areas with swim-up bars, and the upcoming Great Tides Waterpark expected to debut this summer. It’s possible the final drink package structure will align with the completion of those upgrades.

For now, March sailings benefit from the extension. Guests sailing in April and beyond will want to keep an eye out for further clarification from Norwegian.
