Celebrity Cruises is changing its Premium Access, trimming back a couple of popular extras while keeping the main benefits in place. Beginning with sailings on or after August 1, 2026, the package will no longer include a special embarkation day lunch in the main dining room or reserved theater seating.

These two perks were recently removed from the package description, with Celebrity explaining that the change is due to capacity limitations that made them challenging to offer consistently across all ships. Guests booked on sailings before August 1, 2026, will still receive the lunch and theater seating as part of their Premium Access purchase.

I’ve used Premium Access myself on a Celebrity Eclipse sailing. While I liked avoiding the buffet on embarkation day, the main dining room lunch wasn’t anything I’d go out of my way for.

Premium Access will include the following, starting with sailings on or after August 1, 2026:

  • Premium Wi-Fi for two devices
  • Unlimited complimentary room service (fees and gratuities waived)
  • Priority luggage delivery to staterooms
  • Priority boarding (early terminal access)
  • Priority tender service departure
  • Express luggage service at disembarkation

It’s also worth noting that Premium Access is sold in two versions on some sailings. One bundle includes drinks with Wi-Fi, and the other offers Wi-Fi and perks without drinks. Availability and inclusions can vary by itinerary.

The package must be purchased before sailing and is not available once onboard. Pricing varies by sailing, typically ranging from $15 to $40 per person, per day.

Some may miss the lunch or theater seating, but Premium Access still covers the most significant perks — priority services and Wi-Fi.
